JTEKT announces a significant expansion of our European Research and Development Center, representing a €30 million investment in innovation capabilities and infrastructure.
The expanded facility includes state-of-the-art testing laboratories equipped with advanced tribology testing equipment, high-speed bearing test rigs, materials analysis instruments, and computational simulation capabilities. The center will also house dedicated research teams focusing on advanced materials, ceramic technology, lubrication science, and digital bearing systems.

The facility will support collaborative research projects with universities, research institutions, and industry partners. JTEKT is also establishing an innovation fellowship program to attract top research talent and foster breakthrough innovations.
The expanded center will be operational by mid-2024 and will employ approximately 80 research engineers and scientists.
